The Lithuanian Association of Meetings and Events (LKRA) is a national independent non-profit organisation dedicated to representing individuals, companies and official bodies with the aim of furthering the development of the country’s meetings and events industry. The LKRA facilitates education, networking, and advocacy on behalf of the industry while raising its profile and enhancing business opportunities for its stakeholders.

LKRA is the country’s first and only non-profit organisation dedicated to bringing companies, publics organisations and individuals operating within the meetings and events industry together in one community. These include event and exhibition management companies, Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs), tourism organisers, conference centres/venues, conference hotels, service providers, as well as convention bureaus and educational institutions.

LKRA members combine their resources to meet development and communication needs, as well as support the association’s representation among state, municipal and other institutions, among other things.

One of the LKRA’s priorities is to highlight meeting and event activities as an industry and that industry’s role in the broader national economy.

The association’s main goals are to:

• Bring together and coordinate meeting and event industry stakeholders;
• Represent the interests of association members among state and municipal authorities;
• Improve the professional competencies of industry players;
• Promote industry awareness at the national and international level;
• Promote the industry’s economic growth;
• Expand international cooperation.

The LKRA appreciates and promotes diversity among its members with regard to size, geographical location and types of products or services offered. Association members include both companies and private individuals located in Lithuania and directly involved in the planning, organisation and execution of events, as well as related products and service supply. Association members have equal rights and benefits.
